Hydrophobic Dry Slip Products (Teflon/PTFE or Silicone)

Friction forces can be reduced to 0.1 without water needed. Some handling may be compromised as "feel" becomes lost and turning and pushing cannot be effected on some devices where the  physician grasps the coated section. Even with the added dimension of coating on a  diameter of a device, it will insert with significantly less force.

* Patented systems use crosslinking agents to bind the supporting polymers to each other for better strength and resistance to solvents, sterilizing   materials, heat and body fluids. Crosslinkers also bind to functional groups on the surface to improve adhesion.
